Be Still My Soul

Be
still my soul! The Lord is on thy side. Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain; Leave to thy God to order and provide; In every change He faithful will remain. Be still, my soul! thy best, thy heavenly Friend Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.
Be
still, my soul! thy God doth undertake To guide the future as He has the past. Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake; All now mysterious shall be bright at last. Be still, my soul! the waves and winds still know His voice who rules them while He dwelt below.
Be
still, my soul! the hour is hastening on When we shall be forever with the Lord, When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone. Sorrow forgot, love's purest joys restored. Be still, my soul! when change and tears are past, All safe and blessed we shall meet at last.

"Abba, Father," We Approach Thee
"Abba,
Father," we approach Thee In our Savior's precious name. We, Thy children, here assembling, Access to thy Presence claim.
From our guilt His blood has washed us, 'Tis thro' Him our souls draw nigh; And Thy Spirit, too, has taught us "Abba, Father," thus to cry.
Once
as prodigals we wandered,
In our folly, far from Thee:
But Thy grace o'er sin abounding,
Rescued us from misery.
Thou Thy prodigals hast pardoned,
"Kissed us," with a Father's love;
Welcomed us with joy o'er flowing,
E'en to dwell with Thee above.
Clothed
in garments of salvation,
At thy table is our place;
We rejoice and Thou rejoicest,
In the riches of Thy grace.
"It is meet," we hear Thee saying,
"We should merry be and glad;
I have found my once lost children,
Now they live who once were dead."
"Abba,
Father," we adore Thee,
While the hosts in heav'n above
E'en, in us, now learn the wonders
Of Thy wisdom, grace and love.
Soon before Thy throne assembled,
All Thy children shall proclaim
Abba's love, as shown in Jesus,
And how full is Abba's name!
