"Max" knows that the
Worldwide Church of God is wrong on
many things, but he says his reason for still attending the WCG is "to worship God."
How is he worshipping Him? Is he worshipping Him when he sings mostly songs from
the Psalms that emphasize God's Law and keeping it? Is he worshipping Him when
he hears sermons on how we should keep the Feast of Tabernacles, the Sabbath and keep striving
for perfection,
so we don't lose out on our salvation? Is he worshipping Him when there are
times that sermons are taken up by talking about problems with "dissidents," how
the WCG is changing, or other topics unrelated to our spiritual growth? Is he
worshipping Him when he says "Amen" along with the rest of the members to the
prayers that emphasize the beliefs of the WCG? Is he worshipping Him when he
fellowships with people that are hindered in their knowledge of the true Jesus
who should be their Rest? Or could he be worshipping Him by not letting the
others know that he doesn't go along with everything anymore that they teach,
but that he's just there with them because that's where he feels
"comfortable?"
