WCG's Hatred Toward the Medical Establishment

One thing that stood out to me during my years within Worldwide Church of God was their hatred toward medical care and all individuals involved in medicine. This went much further than merely a doctrine that said we "should not accept medical aid." In my area it was very obvious that hatred was in the extreme toward all people within the health care system. Even before I became aware of other serious problems with the WCG cult I saw this as an area in which they were unable to be objective because of that hatred. I knew this had to be a very sinful position on the part of the church.

Jesus taught us so clearly that to hate our neighbor, which includes medical care personnel, was equivalent to murder as far as the Law was concerned. I was seeing this hate on the part of the leaders of my congregation and they claimed to have the inside scoop on eternal life. Of course this same hatred was held by much of the membership (it was the "in thing"). I saw friends die unnecessarily because they apparently believed it would appear to others to be more righteous to suffer rather than accept medical help.

I had always been a bit skeptical of the medical world, but I had not allowed that to evolve into hatred. I was clearly dismayed at the evil attitudes within WCG in this area.

May God be so merciful to bring to repentance those responsible for the deaths and suffering of so many and setting the examples of hatred toward not only the medical care system, but also to all individuals working within it. They have much to be responsible for.
