Ask Yourself These Questions About Malachi's Message

Dear Brethren,

Do you know your Bible as well as you think?

If so, try to answer these questions from the Bible:

1) Where did the Apostle John write that the little book would be produced in the end time? (The one who calls himself a prophet wrote in his booklet entitled, The Little Book the following on page 4:

"John did write that the little book would be produced in the end time."

I challenge any one of you ministers, or any one of you brethren, to find where the apostle John wrote this. If you find it in your Bible, it will only be because you wrote it in there. It is nowhere in the Bible.

2) Is Malachi's Message an "UNWRITTEN PART OF THE BOOK OF REVELATION?"

The one who calls himself a prophet wrote that it was in an article entitled, "A Review of Revelation 10 and 11" which appeared in The Philadelphia Trumpet in 1992.  Perhaps many of you were not in the PCG in 1992.

Does the one who calls himself a prophet ever read and study the Bible? Rev. 22 v 18 cautions that if anyone adds to the words of the prophecy of this book, GOD will add to him the plagues that are written in it.

Is the Bible complete for our time or not? According to the one who calls himself a prophet, it must have been completed by him as he claimed in The Philadelphia Trumpet, Sept/Oct 1992, that his little book which he entitled, Malachi's Message To God's Church Today is an UNWRITTEN PART of the book of Revelation.

3) How many revisions of Malachi's Message have there been? Do any of you really know?  Look at the copyright on a current edition, perhaps the latest edition.  It shows copyright dates of
1990, 1995 and 1999.

Now look at the edition marked sixth edition and dated 1992. This edition shows the following at the front of the book:

First Edition  - January 1990
Second Edition - Revised September 1990
Third Edition - Revised January 1991
Fourth Edition - Revised April 1991
Fifth Edition - Revised September 1991
Sixth Edition - Revised July 1992

The one who calls himself a prophet says that it was revelation from GOD and that it was delivered by a mighty angel.

Do any of you think that when the prophets, whose writings were recorded in the Holy Scriptures were originally written, that they had to be "revised" multiple times???

Why would anyone DARE TO REVISE OR REWRITE what is claimed to be a revelation from GOD?

Are you brethren capable of some critical thinking, or do you just accept everything that a man tells you, or writes, without really proving whether what he writes is true, based upon the written word of GOD, the Bible?

The one who calls himself a prophet is being very deceitful in the way he shows the copyright dates on the later edition as compared to the earlier 1992 revised copy of his little book.

There were five revisions of the original or first edition. Then he fails to show all of the revised dates on the later copy with the three copyright years.

What a charlatan and deceiver this man is. EDIT or REVISE a REVELATION FROM GOD??? How dare this man do that? Or perhaps it was NOT really a revelation from GOD!!!

Has anyone ever heard of Jules Dervaes? He wrote a series of letters BEGINNING IN 1986, four years before the so-called first edition of Malachi's Message. In these letters, which were entitled, "THE LETTERS TO LAODICEA," he wrote to Mr. Tkach, Sr. a series of seven
letters that told how the WWCOG had become Laodicean. His letters, sent over a period of multiple months and years, had information that was later contained in the little book written
by the man from Oklahoma. [Links to these letters are found here.]

Mr. Dervaes sent copies of his letters to Gerald Flurry and John Amos, as well as many ministers and brethren of the WWCOG. He even wrote a letter to Gerald Flurry and sent it to Mr. Flurry, cautioning Mr. Flurry about plagiarizing his, Mr. Dervaes' work. The letter was sent in 1990 and was sent via certified mail and was accepted and signed for by Mrs. Barbara Flurry.

So, I ask, from where did Gerald Flurry really get the information for HIS little book?  Perhaps you brethren would like to check this out further.

4) How many of you ministers and brethren are aware that the one who calls himself a prophet wrote on pages 11, 63, 93, 97 and 101 of his little book, which he entitled Malachi's Message, that the "very" elect can NOT be deceived (1992 and 1999 editions). (Also stated in "A Review of Revelation 10 and 11," Sept/Oct 1992, The Philadelphia Trumpet.)

Yet, in the 1999 edition on page 78 he writes:

"Too many people in GOD's CHURCH today have drifted into a state of believing that GOD's CHURCH CANNOT BE DECEIVED. Mr. Armstrong warned against that attitude. GOD warns us not to put our trust in scholars who are going to be cut off."

Right there, in the so-called revelation from GOD that was so-called delivered by a mighty angel, the man from Edmond has written a contradiction that contradicts what he wrote in five other places in HIS little book, the so-called revelation from GOD!!!

Do you think that GOD Himself would reveal something to a so-called prophet that was contradictory???

You ought to be PROVING ALL THINGS, as the man from Edmond and his predecessor have repeatedly told you to do and written that you should do. I think that when it comes to what HE says and what HE writes, you ought to be DOUBLY OR TRIPLY careful to do this.

5) How many of you ministers and brethren believe that GOD's Church CAN die?  I hope that none of you believe this.

Guess what?  The man from Edmond, in a member/co-worker letter dated March 13, 2002 (which I have a copy), wrote the following:

"We must understand that GOD's church CAN die."

How many of you believe this LIE???

Perhaps the man from Edmond ought to read Matthew 16 v 18:

"...I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

The words of JESUS CHRIST are recorded in that Scripture. See what HE says about HIS Church.

There are many more lies, contradictions and unbiblical statements that the man from Edmond has written and/or spoken. You can find them if you will diligently study his writings and listen to some of his sermons (sorry, you cannot do that since the PCG no longer has the CD/tape libraries; how can you possibly prove all things).

Brethren, in conclusion, let me warn you and caution you with the utmost urgency. You must really be PROVING ALL THINGS. You must be as the Bereans were, SEARCHING the Scripture to see if these things are so.

Take heed that you do not follow a false prophet who has SAID and WRITTEN that Jesus Christ MADE A PERSONAL APPEARANCE on the earth prior to His return in power and glory.1

Read how Jesus Christ will return in Matthew 24 v 23-27. He warned of false christs and FALSE PROPHETS who would make erroneous claims that Christ is here, or He is in the wilderness, or DESERT.

Read for yourselves the warning that JESUS gave in Matthew 24 v 23-27 about false christs and false prophets, those claiming that, "...Behold, He is in the desert..." After all, the man from Edmond wrote that JESUS CHRIST came from Mt. Paran, which is near Petra (in Jordan) and made a PERSONAL APPEARANCE on the earth. Mt. Paran and Petra are IN THE DESERT.

BEWARE, lest a false prophet, a liar and deceiver, take your crown.

This man denies CHRIST with his many UNBIBLICAL STATEMENTS, outright lies and contradictions.

Take heed that you do not blindly follow a man who has written that GOD's CHURCH CAN DIE!

Prove all things for the sake of yourself and your families.

In Christian love,

Ministerial Evils in Philadelphia Church of God

Footnote by ESN:

1 "It says in Habakkuk 2 and verse 3 that, uh, the Holy One is gonna come from Mount Paran. And, uh, that's during the court case. I think we must have gotten some kind of special help from Jesus Christ in the court case--I don't know exactly how it happened, but I believe it with all my heart, I believe it with all my mind. And you know over in Amos 9 and verse 1, it talks about God is going to wound them all in the head. And there is a, the, Jesus Christ comes and stands by the altar. I think it's a counterpart of this prophecy here. And the commentaries even say it's like, this is a rare, and a, perhaps a personal appearance of God. The commentaries can see that. ...So I think Michael and Gabriel and Christ were all on the scene helping us. ...We won because Michael and Gabriel fought with us, and JESUS CHRIST NO DOUBT MADE A PERSONAL APPEARANCE." ("The Mantle of Elijah," Pt. 2, sermon by Gerald Flurry, March 2002) Also mentioned in "The Lion Has Roared" by Gerald Flurry.
