Poems / Free Verse
Sometimes we that have survived an abusive, soul-damaging experience express more freely our feelings through poems or free verse. I hope that you will find comfort and peace through these poems and free verse and know that Jesus truly understands and cares. Comfort in Music (comfort for survivors of abuse; no audio)

Comforting Words About the True God of Love
Comfort in Music
Reading through the words of sacred hymns has a way of speaking to many of us in a special way of Jesus and His love. Let these words comfort you and encourage you. If you have a chance to listen to the music of any of these songs, you will understand how beautiful the melody is.
C. C. Whittington, a dear saint of God, ministered to me in a wonderfully healing way after I exited the Worldwide Church of God through the beautiful music he played on his radio program. I feel God helped me to come across it one day when I was feeling very depressed. He also would read poems and tell stories, many of them personal. But it was the music he played that impacted me so much.
C. C. passed away on November 30, 2000 at the age of 84. His AM radio program "Hymns and Gospel Songs for All Churches" started in 1952 and continued after his death until April 2002 as reruns. After then, the new manager of this radio station took the program off the air because, in his words, "we needed to get some modern Christian music on."
I am so thankful that the music C. C. played was able to be heard as long as it was.
When Day is Done (I posted this in loving memory of C.C. Whittington)
